Janie Renee Cochran is the owner of New Path in Life, a  coaching business she runs with her daughter, a licensed psychotherapist, with the mission to help people overcome long standing toxic cycles in their life so they can connect with themselves and others more authentically.  In addition to being certified to both practice and instruct Mental health First Aide, Janie is also the former business woman of the year in Prince Georges County, and the mother of three amazing kids - not to mention five adorably cute grandchildren.

Janie is passionate about mental health awareness, advocacy, and helping others make lasting healthy connections. This is a result of her own history with mental illness and post divorce dating.  Janie has authored two memoirs about her experience with mental illness which led to incarceration as well as another book about being thrust back into the dating game at the tender age of fifty something.

On a more personal note, Janie loves all things glamour and true crime related.  She'd describe her best day ever as spending time with her family, shopping at Sephora, getting new false lashes put on, and then coming home to curl up on the couch to watch Forensic Files or Law and Order.  Throw in some chilled White Zin and it's her very own Heaven on Earth.

Janie is very warm, personable, and one of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet.  People are drawn to her because she naturally validates and encourages everyone she meets.
